Announcing the 2025 Cosplay Contest.
For 2025 NEO Will be bringing back the cosplay contest which will include cash prizes in multiple categories including; Best In Show & Top prizes in the Youth and Adult Categories.
This will be a chance to show off your costuming skills, have photo ops with one of the Cosplay Groups and experience the fun and excitement of being part of the Cosplay Community.

On the heels of our Cosplay announcement, we are so jazzed to welcome back one of our earliest supporters.

Guests for NEO ComicCon this year feature special guest, Michael “Knightmage” Wilson!

Michael has been cosplaying since 2012, creating over 400 costumes and winning multiple awards. Michael is one of the most influential and cosplayers in the world, judging cosplay contests, hosting cosplay panels, and providing workshops which showcase the creative, positive, inspiring and supportive side of cosplay.
Michael most often uses his costuming to bring awareness to many charitable events, benefits, parades, birthdays, and hospital visits to children. This has led him to becoming a member of esteemed costuming groups all over the United States such as The League of Heroes, The Heroes Alliance-Ohio Branch, East Coast Avengers, Costumers with a Cause, Superheroes to Kids in Ohio, GingerSnaps Cosplay, and Heroic Inner Kids.
Michael has received numerous awards for his charitable deeds including the “Outstanding Service Award” from Credit Where Credit Is Due, the CosBravo Award, Electronic Sports Industry “Most Influential Male Cosplayer” Award, “Most Influential Person of the Year” Award from Spanning the Need, and most notably the “Presidential Volunteers Award” from President Barack Obama and the White House.

We are pleased to announce that Ginger Snaps Cosplay will be helping our team with this year’s costume contest, as well as bringing fun and photo ops to this year’s convention.
GingerSnaps Cosplay is an all-volunteer based cosplay group out of Akron, Ohio, who come together to share one thing: their love for cosplay!
With members spanning from Akron to Youngstown, these volunteers come together to create lasting memories for Comic Conventions, Charity Events, and more.
The volunteers represent fandoms from across all genres, bringing their favorite characters to life.
Their services include running costume contests (from signing up to lining up, their members do it all), and ensuring everyone is enjoying friendly competition. Along with contests, they help host cosplay panels that have something for everyone, beginners and advanced craftsman alike. While at Comic Conventions, they also bring their FREE Photo Booth and props. This allows people of all ages, cosplayers or not, to dress up and be a part of the fun. Finally, they like to keep the kids involved, so the volunteers host FREE Kids Scavenger Hunts, showcasing local vendors at every event.
Collectively, GingerSnaps Cosplay volunteers have been cosplaying for over a decade and have created over 100 designs.
The GingerSnaps Cosplay mission is to share the fun of GingerSnaps Cosplay, through adults being kids again!
